The Famous Beetles & The Unpolished Truth - Day 82

I would love to be writing something uplifting today - to show off a store bursting with products and a dream that’s finally "arrived." But here I am, perhaps ready to disappoint some of you. Or maybe, I’m here to offer a bit of relief to those of you struggling with the same trio I am: self-doubt, perfectionism, and the procrastination that stems from both.

When I last wrote on here, I ended my post with: “And I don’t care how long it takes. I will be here, walking through doubts, obstacles with blind faith, until I accomplish my soul’s mission.”

Well, somewhere along the way, we got entangled. We managed to lose our hope. Right now, the store still only has three products - the famous beetles - and I spend my days lost in the ins and outs of retouching and colour-correcting vintage illustrations.

My Moon in Virgo loves the precision; my Cancer Rising loves hiding behind the scenes. But my Mars in Leo and Sun in Capricorn are getting restless. They want the ambition. They want to be out there. How else are we going to get known? How else are we going to make this dream work if we just continue to hide?

Common sense - and every marketing expert on the planet - would probably say I shouldn't be sharing this. They'd tell me to wait until the store is "perfect" and the success is "proven." But this is us, and that is them. Blackbird Cottage Co. was always meant to be all-in: the real, the raw, and the honest steps it takes to actually get there.

So, to whoever is following this journey while fighting your own doubts and comparison: I hear you. The pain is real, but the success will be even realer. Just carry on, keep taking steps, no matter how small. You will get there in your own time. And it will be the right time.
